How can I link the customer Mekorma Power Apps Service Account with Mekorma's Microsoft Partner ID (PAL) in the Azure Portal?
Partner ID linking will attribute Mekorma's Microsoft partner ID (719878) to the service account or owner of the Mekorma Power App. This allows us to be recognized as the customer partner on record so we can provide better support when logging cases with Microsoft on behalf of the customer and obtain other related Microsoft services.
1. Sign in to https://portal.azure.com/ as the owner (service account) of the Mekorma Power App product, e.g. svcPowerApprovals@Customer.com
2. Visit "Link to a Partner ID" in the Azure Portal
3. Enter Mekorma's Microsoft Partner ID number: 719878
4. Click on the Link a partner ID button to continue.
FAQ:
Can a PartnerID be changed after it's linked with PAL association?
Yes. A linked PartnerID can be changed, added, or removed.
Can other partners or customers edit or remove the link to the PartnerID?
The link is associated at the user account level. Only that account can edit or remove the link to the PartnerID, for that account.
How do I explain Partner Admin Link (PAL) to our mutual customers?
Partner Admin Link (PAL) enables Microsoft to identify and recognize those partners who are helping customers achieve business objectives and realize value in the cloud. This association helps Microsoft understand the ecosystem of IT service providers and to refine the tools and programs needed to best support our common customers.
What data does PAL collect?
The PAL association to existing credentials provides no new customer data to Microsoft. It simply provides the telemetry to Microsoft where a partner is actively involved in a customer's Azure environment. Microsoft can attribute usage for our apps to Mekorma and helps us in our relationship with Microsoft as well.
Does PAL association affect the security of a customer's Azure Environment?
PAL association only adds partners' PartnerID to the credential already provisioned. It doesn't alter any permissions (Azure role) or provide extra Azure service data to the partner or Microsoft.
